So this is more of a backburner idea I thought up a few days ago. I'm sure my old engine may have done this too but with the stroker once I turn the engine off and then flip the key back to run, I notice the temperature rises 10*F - 20*F which is a little worrying for it being cold out. I don't know if that's something to worried about, but I feel like if you were already overheating and shut off the engine it would rise to unsafe levels.
My first mod is going to be installing a 2 speed temp switch and volvo fan, then rigging them up to run even when the key is off to cool the rad and engine bay. They would shut off when the temp switch cooled sufficiently, but that's just the rad temp, not the block temp. So my thought was to add a smaller secondary water pump that can move the coolant through the block and cool the engine down without the running engine adding heat back into it. I only looked quickly but noticed some small inline electric water pumps on ebay so it may be possible.
Is this something I should pursue further, or am I starting to German Engineer this too much? Thoughts and Suggestions welcome.

Every internal combustion engine on the planet does this, if you have a mechanical gauge you can watch it happen, it'll cool right back down when it fires up.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!

It is called heat soak and like mentioned above, every engine does it. It is simply the coolant inside the engine soaking up the heat still in the block and heating up the coolant and making the gauge read higher than what you are used to seeing. There is nothing wrong.

Partially related, anyone ever run an electric pump? I'm thinking of converting RaceJeep to electric to free up even more parasitic drag....also keeping the same added benefit OP referring to, and be able to cool the motor between passes.
