Woodruff key?

Woodruff key?
I had my snout cut on my 258 crank and the woodruff key off of my 242 crank sits to low in the 258 crank. The 242 woodruff is 3/16 X 3/4, it looks like I need to go with a 3/16 X 13/16 or 3/16 X 7/8??? Are woodruff keys readily available? And is it OK to grind it down being that the snout was cut?
